About My Upcycled Salvage

Based in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, My Upcycled Salvage was informally founded in 2017, in the workshop of Chris Beevers, as designer, creator and keen "up-cycyler".

My aim is to create interesting, bespoke pieces that are usable, practical and stylish.

I source my quirky and interesting items, while visiting car boots, auctions, antique shops, reclamation and salvage yards when traveling around Yorkshire.
Not forgetting of course, the occasional unwanted skip finds.

Whether it is for example a:

  • Discarded household item.
  • A piece of vintage sporting equipment.
  • Copper and brass pipe fittings.
  • Old workshop tools.
  • Vintage tins.
  • Old toys.
  • Old firefighting equipment.
  • Reclaimed slate and wood.
  • The list of items that can be upcycled and repurposed to give a new life is endless and just takes imagination to see what an item could be...

All the pieces are still recognisable for there original use and I want my designs to look great and be able to fit into any home or business.

Please note that all the items for sale on the “My Upcycled Salvage” website are all one off individually handcrafted pieces and all made from either upcycled, reclaimed or salvaged materials.

Therefore there are elements of imperfections such as life's wear and tear, scratches, dents, chips, holes, rust and worn paint etc. But these imperfections, I believe can only add to the character and interest to each item.

Bear in mind, that over time some of the item's components ie reclaimed wood, brass and copper parts that are used on any of the items could be prone to take on a new look or colour. This is due to the natural patina being exposed to the elements of moisture, air, and light for example.

The only new parts that are used in the making of a light is that they have all been rewired with new 3 core earthed cable, bulb holder, 3 pin/3 AMP plug and a new bulb. As well as being PAT tested by a qualified electrician prior to sale.
